A.      How to write paragraph with adequate and inadequate cohesion.

Paragraph is a complete unit of language, which is usually the result of merging several sentences. As a complete unit of meaning in a language that the paragraphs are concepts, ideas , thoughts , or ideas that are biased intact understood by the reader . While the paragraph has the highest or greatest grammatical unit, meaning it was formed paragraphs of sentences grammatically eligible.
Grammatical requirements can be met in a paragraph that was already established in the paragraph called cohesions, that is the harmonious relationship between the elements that exist in the current paragraph. Sentences in the paragraph should be arranged with cohesion (unity in paragraphs ) has coherence ( meaning linkage ) , and has sufficient content to support the main idea in a paragraph .
Good paragraph usually contains a main idea or topic has developed into a paragraph and paragraph serves as the overall controller.
To form a unified paragraph, each paragraph contains just one idea. Paragraph consists of several sentences. However, should constitute an integral whole , so there is no discordant sentence paragraph that does not support unity .

B.       What is Cohesion ?

Cohesion is the state of cohering or sticking together to connectivity in a text.

C.      The difference between coherence and cohesion

Cohesion and coherence are not too difficult to explain.  Cohesion refers to connectivity in a text.  Coherence refers to how easy it is to understand the writing.

D.      Example Of Cohesion

In 1997, rice production fell 3.85 percent. Increased rice imports, estimated to be 3.1 tons in 1998. Achieved self-sufficiency in 1984, in 1985, we exported 371.3 thousand tons of rice, even 530.7 thousand tons in 1993. In 1994, we come up short rice trade balance of 400 thousand tons. And increased rice imports in 1997 reached 2.5 million tons.

The paragraph needs to be improved, for example by providing the following preposition.

In 1997, rice production fell 3.85 percent. As a result, rice imports increased, estimated to be 3.1 tons in 1998. After self-sufficiency achieved in 1984, in 1985, we exported 371.3 thousand tons of rice, even 530.7 thousand tons in 1993. The reason why the sentence that underline is categorized into cohesion :

The above paragraph suggests a main idea, namely the issue of the rise and fall of Indonesia's rice production. Thus the coherence of the sentence are met, but the paragraph is said not to have good cohesiveness that the elusive idea.

A. How to Write A Paragraph With Unity Adequate And Inadequate.      
         Paragraphs can be said to have unity adequate if the paragraph has an element of completeness of facts and examples, as well as having to build sentences are related or regular order.

 B.

What is Coherence ?

-        In the oxford dictionary, coherence is the situation in which all the part of something fit together well.

-        Coherence in a paragraph is the technique of making words, phrases, and sentences move smoothly and logically from one to the order. In other words, the ideas are so interwoven and ‘’glued’’ together that the reader will be able to see the consistent relationship between them. It is obvious that if a paragraph is not unified, does not have a logical order, and does not have a consistent point of view, the reader is unlikely to grasp the point of the paragraph. In addition, there are other devices and techniques that will help you achieve coherence.

-        In general, the coherence devices most helpful for making your communication clear for the reader are transitional words and phrases, repetition of key words and phrases, pronoun reference, and parallel sentence structure.

In the other statement, coherence is fundamentally not an objective property of the produced text. Rather, that text is a by-product of the mental processes of discourse production and discourse comprehension, which are the real loci of coherence.

                                  Example

For me, the worst thing about waiting tables was the uniform. At the last place I worked, all the waitresses had to wear an ugly brown striped jumper. Underneath it we had to wear an even uglier polyester shirt. Sometimes someone I knew would come in and I'd feel embarrassed by my outfit. Now I have a job in an office, where I can wear my own clothes.

My name is Thurpa Dupi Oktari, I look like a sweet little girl who always wears the veil with my own style and wearing a watch in the right side. I have a small oval face with a pointed nose, a slightly slant eyes, small and thin lips. My body is high enough, and weight 47 kg. My friends often say I look like Barbie. I came from Yogyakarta, but my parents migrated and now settled in Kalianda, South Lampung. I go to school at the University of Muhammadiyah Metro and lived in a boarding house at 15 A. The best thing about me is having a harmonious family, mutual concern, and seeing my family smile. My hobbies are swimming and traveling. The interesting part of my hobby is traveling to the place you've never visited before with your loved ones. During the spare time, I usually go shopping, play games, online and sleep, because I love to sleep.
